Moms To Do list that is never-ending.
Have you ever felt as though you never have enough time or your life is so hectic, that your brain never seems to rest?
It’s like the wheels in your head keep spinning, round and round. That you have a constant to-do list and things that never seem to be able to get done because new ones always get added to the list?
Have you ever stopped to think, what if I just took a break from all the To-do’s on my list and the constant running around? How would that feel like?
If you’re anything like me, you’re probably saying, “Omg, I would love just for once, to be able to feel like this, for everything just to be done and the feeling that you don’t have to think!“
That would be amazing! Right?
I know, sometimes we just don’t want to do or have to think of anything. As moms, we are constantly thinking, planning and organizing everything for the family, ourselves and for the kids.
This just feels like an ongoing struggle and that your brain never stops!
When do you ever get a break? Never, because our brains are constantly spinning! We don’t know how to prioritize it in our brain unless we do a brain dump and mark down what is important and what can wait. See we all have this ability, but many of us just don’t know how and that’s so normal. As moms, there is so much expected and so many things on our plate, that knowing how to differentiate what’s the priority as simple as it may seem, it isn’t always like that.
I know exactly what it means, to have your mind just spinning day or night. See I have had to struggle with a constant to do list running through my head and unless I did a brain dump and write things down, I found myself forgetting some things that need to get done. Everything on the list was a top priority and everything had a time it had to be done by.
But see I started to get overwhelmed as a mom and working didn’t help to add to the list of the to-do. I started to think there must be a better or easier way to tackle everything and still be able to be there for the kids. I have always been a perfectionist and this doesn’t really help me when I need to get tasks done because let’s just say, everything I tried to accomplish never was good enough, for the most part.
So as much as I always thought of my perfectionism to be a good thing, I never really looked at it as a crutch to get me, in order to complete tasks that really should only take a short amount of time. I knew I need to let things go and push through my procrastination and do whatever I had to and mark my goal or task as complete.
So if you’re wondering what does that have to do with getting things done?
Well, this is the first thing you must change in order to ever complete any task.
- Being a perfectionist only will slow you down and not because your work or your task was done incorrectly, but because you hold back as marking it as complete, even if it was done perfectly.
Now with that being said, that is definitely not everything that will help you achieve overcoming the overwhelmed. See even though I changed my ways and let go with procrastination, I soon discovered other ways that helped me achieve every important goal or task that I need to complete.
- Secondly, to start, I first set my biggest goals that I wanted to achieve and learned how I can turn those goals into manageable tasks, ones that will get me whatever I am looking to achieve. I found this mind-blowing, how I have never thought of this before and how simple it can be in order to feel, the feeling of satisfaction of getting my stuff done on my to-do list.
See I only learned by going through it and implementing it into my life, the steps to achieve any goal or task that is on your to-do list, one that you want to achieve. I promise you will be amazed at how it can transform anything and every part of your life, as a mom, in your work and your home life.
I thought it would be amazing if I could share this with all other moms that are feeling like their brain is always spinning and never seem to be able to accomplish what is on your to-do list or you have been trying to achieve goal, whether it’s you wanting to lose 50 pounds in a year and it just doesn’t seem doable.
