Strategies to help you feel more Energized
To be able to strengthen your attention and be develop the skill to be able to understand where your focus needs to be is how you will learn that first. You need to prepare your brain first, before you begin any task, in order to be calm and focused on your end result.
Sometimes we lose focus on what really matters and not knowing how to put things into perspective. The first thing that I know that will work is to have a Big end Goal. This not only gives your Why, but it drives a focal point to where your focus should be on.
I personally experienced this in the past and over time have found a way to really get results to whatever I need to put my attention on. Whether it was a project, the business I was starting, writing a book, organizing my office, planning an event, helping someone else or even my kids with a task, whatever the end goal was, is what I focused on what my steps should be. This is so helpful if you find yourself always squirreling away and feel as though you have too many things on your plate and not knowing what you should be doing first.
Let me tell you, first comes to knowing what your one Big goal is, only one at a time. As I strongly believe that if you only focus on one then and only then you can accomplish all the rest.

How to train your brain to stay focused and more productive
Unplug and Take a Break for 15-20 Minutes
Sometimes we find ourselves that the more we are trying to focus on something the more we find it difficult to focus. That’s why us just taking that 15-20 minute break can really be refreshing and you may be surprised on how much you might get done after you’ve taken that break.
Focus on Only ONE GOAL at a Time
A lot of times we have this long list of goals and projects we need to get done and we find ourselves more overwhelmed than really accomplishing or completing anything. That’s why focusing on only one thing at a time and completing it, not only is a great feeling of accomplishment, but you will find you will be able to tackle a lot more goals this way. Instead of having a list of to do’s.
Music in the background helps some people focus and others it may be coffee
For some of us, the music in the background helps with focus and meditation, which can trigger a part of your brain to be more creative and relaxed. But for others, it may not be having any music at all and maybe just a cup of coffee or tea. Whichever is your type of style and whatever you find helps you focus, do it? We are not all made the same and you need to find what really works for you. I find that depending on what I am doing I actually enjoy a mix of both of these methods. I really enjoy my coffee when I need to be deep in thought, when I’m writing and if I am creating a graphic I can put music in the background and it actually inspires me to be more creative. Plan out your day, the night before
Planning your day the night before is a real time saver! Not only does this keep you organized and on task, but it will keep your mind focused on your task and goal. I do this religiously and swear by this, as it has helped me tremendously, you definitely need to try this step if you haven’t already done so.
Find your Best Peak Work Hours
Knowing when your the most productive and what time of day it is, can really help you be at your best performance whenever you are trying to get anything done. I have tried doing early morning hours and even tried doing very late at night hours. Until I found that I work best in the early morning hours as my mind is more focused on what I am doing and I feel I get much more done. This is different for everyone, but finding what are your best peak hours of the day, can really help you improve your productivity, which in turn will keep you focused.
Avoid Multitasking
Avoiding multitasking will take out all the distractions that will stand in your way to completing your goal. If you avoid multitasking you would be better off as it will deviate your efforts and focus off of the big goal that you need to achieve.
Keep in front of your Vision your Goal and what your focus is on
Post right in front of you while you are working your big Goal on the wall so that it will keep you motivated and keep you focused on what you are trying to achieve.
Train your Brain to Stay Focused
Exercising your brain is essential if you want to train your brain to stay focused. See what we do with our bodies, we need to treat our brains the same. When we want our bodies to stay healthy we exercise, well the same goes for your brain, you must exercise your brain to keep it healthy. In turn, by being healthy you will be able to focus much better.
You simply need to do this in incriminates by doing a bit each time, when you are focusing on something and you don’t feel like it, for example, you need to push through at first. The next time if you only were able to focus let’s say for only 20 minutes then next time push for 25 minutes and the time after that another 5 minutes so now you have just done 30 minutes.
You will eventually find that you will reach a full hour and be able to focus, which you were not able to do before. This requires you to be diligent and keep going at it. You will gradually build your focus and will be able to reach the full 60 minutes and it may take one to three months depending on how much you need to work on, but this will definitely help you over time. Be patient, but stay focused on your brain exercise and it will pay off in the end.

How to train your brain to stay focused and be more productive
Keep your Distractions Away
A lot of time our distractions are our phones, social media, tv and really anything that we can sidetrack with not having to do what we are supposed to stay focused on. So keeping the distractions away from the room your working in is best, in order for you to stay focused. We all know that distractions can kill a good chunk of time and having to be focused on something won’t happen if you start to get sidetracked with distractions.
Build Strong Habits
Building Strong Habits which happens over time is the idea that when you have established strong habits that motivate you to do something this will, in turn, keep you focused on your goal, without even trying. Therefore training your brain to focus when you have already built a strong habit will not be a problem as you subconsciously do it without event thinking and focus isn’t an issue.
To recap a few things about how to train your brain to stay focused really comes from the root of Building Strong Habits which happens over time. But if you start by leveraging your habits into something that will, in turn, help you, then you will see how much easier staying focused can be. We all have habits and creating good habits helps us stay accountable and helps us stay focused as well. Therefore, if we want to achieve great focus, we can, by not even having to think about what we are doing, instead just naturally doing it.
Think about when you wake up in the morning and take a shower, we do this every day. Without even thinking about it, that is exactly what building strong habits helps us do. If we build strong habits that help us stay motivated, this will also help us stay focused on what goals we want to achieve, without even thinking about it anymore.
This is a truly fascinating concept and yet we all get unfocused from time to time.
